Part-Time Contract Guides:

Trainee

Must have lived in Charlotte for 5 consecutive years plus, 1. Provide personal references of 2 residents who have lived in Charlotte for 10 consecutive years, 2. Provide resume’ and 3 work references of 1 year or more consecutive employment (can be waived with 1 reference of 3 years or more employment), 3. Be genuinely courteous, cordial, sociable, posses an outgoing personality, and must be very dependable, 4. Must have reliable transportation, or access to reliable transportation, and a working cellular phone, 5. Must be honest, trustworthy and sign a legally binding confidentiality [All Guides] and non-compete [Trainee Only] agreement, and 6. Must have a valid email address and have daily access to email.

 

Guide

 

Must meet all the qualifications of Trainee plus, 1. Assist on a minimum of 5 tours, and 2. Pass an oral (open notes) exam. Compensation: $16.80 to $71.40 per tour.

Senior Guide

 

Must meet all of the qualifications of Guide plus, 1. Assist and/or train and/or conduct a minimum of 25 tours, 2. Complete an accredited course in CPR, 3. Pass a written (open notes) examination, and 4. Master both standard tour routes. Compensation: $27.30 to $99.75 per tour.

Master Guide

 

Must meet all of the qualifications of Master Guide plus, 1. Assist and/or train and/or conduct a minimum of 50 tours, 2. Pass a written (no notes) examination, and 3. Master all tour routes. Compensation: $33.60 to $115.50 per tour.

 

Senior Master Guide

 

Must meet all of the qualifications of a Master Guide plus, 1. Assist and/or train and/or conduct a minimum of 100 tours, and 2. Design a custom tour route. Compensation: $38.85 to $132.30 per tour.

 

Director (Pending)

 

Must meet all of the qualifications of a Senior Master Guide plus, 1. Have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher, 2. Have had a minimum of 5 years collective supervisory and/or management experience, and 3. Have owner(s) approval. Compensation: Based on experience.
