Their ceremonial performance features uniquely synchronized movements, deliberate high steps, and impressive motionless stances that reflect the discipline and tradition associated with this distinctive Greek military unit. π«‘π£ The Evzones wear elaborate traditional uniforms whose elements reflect different periods of Greek history. π¬π·π Their distinctive attire includes white, flared-sleeve shirts, embroidered wool vests, the famous pleated kilt known as the fustanella, and traditional footwear decorated with large pom-poms. πβ¨ The striking uniforms, precision movements, and ceremonial bearing make the guards one of the most recognizable symbols visitors encounter in Athens.
