I found the pickup process confusing 😕: no message was sent before my trip 📭, only a nonexistent address was given 🚫🏠, and there was no signage 🚩 at that location in Salisbury, NC. Customer service messaging was far too lengthy ⏳📞 and unclear—critical when trying to confirm an exact departure point in an urgent moment. The representative spoke in heavily accented, non-standard English 🗣️ and ultimately gave an incorrect time ⏰, claiming the bus had already departed. On a dark street 🌑, I had to remain vigilant 👀; the bus pulled up about 100 yards away, five minutes after the scheduled departure time of 10:00 P.M. 🚌💨.She was unhelpful 🙄; the driver then offered little warmth or direction 😐. Only one of two USB ports above the seat worked 🔌📱, and oddly it was inconveniently placed 🤷🏽‍♂️. Trash bags remained on seats 🗑️🪑. Thankfully 🙏🏾, rest stops were well planned 🚻🛑, and although the driver’s accent made announcements hard to understand, GPS saved the day 📍. Our arrival was at 9:35 A.M., just 5 minutes past the designated time, the next morning 🕤—not too shabby, all things considered.

The Return Trip and Overall Impressions 🌆🔁

 The return information arrived—ironically—via Track My Trip email only after arriving in NYC 📧🗽. The morning driver returned for the evening run 🌃🧑🏾‍✈️, but on a different coach. Departure occurred shortly after 8:00 P.M. as scheduled 🕗. The driver conducted a passenger count before departing the stop ✅🧾, a practice worth repeating.The onboard microphone functioned 🎤, though with feedback noise 🔊⚠️, yet the mic at a Virginia truck stop clearly announced the bus number 🚌🔢. The journey returned at 8:38 A.M. — approximately 1 hour and 8 minutes behind schedule ⌛🕣, 30 of which were due to road construction 🚧. Not ideal, but reasonable under the circumstances. Bathroom cleanliness was consistently good on both legs of the trip 🚻👍🏾.
