The clerk mentioned the property had recently been purchased and refurbished, and the updated décor reflected that effort with modern lighting accents and coordinated furnishings that created a more upscale first impression than expected at this price tier. However, once inside the guest room, the contrast became apparent. Though older in structure, the room had been remodeled and was neat and clean upon arrival 🧼. Furnishings were dated but functional, and the layout practical for a short overnight stay. It presented the familiar profile of a value-tier hotel striving to remain competitive through cosmetic updates rather than full structural renovation — an honest balance between budget and effort.

While not a major flaw, such mechanical sounds can interrupt the quiet rhythm of an evening, especially after a long day of driving or sightseeing. Attention to these small mechanical details would elevate the guest experience noticeably.

Fortunately, Wi-Fi connectivity was seamless 📶. I connected without issue and maintained stable access throughout my stay, even during peak evening hours. For travelers working remotely, coordinating event schedules, or mapping the next day’s route, dependable internet is non-negotiable — and here the hotel delivered without frustration. The television included a printed channel guide booklet 📺, a detail many properties have eliminated in favor of digital-only navigation. Though modest, this touch reflected attention to usability. In-room tea service ☕ provided a simple but appreciated comfort, reinforcing that small conveniences often matter more than flashy upgrades in practical travel accommodations.


Functional Appliances, Noticeable Fixtures 🧊🚿

The refrigerator and microwave combination proved one of the room’s strongest assets 🧊. The larger-size fridge accommodated beverages, fruit, and leftovers comfortably, reducing reliance on outside dining during a busy itinerary. Still, for the nightly rate I had in mind 💵, the room delivered what budget-conscious travelers require: cleanliness, functioning appliances, climate control, and reliable water pressure.


Clean Yet Time-Worn Bath Details 🛁🔍

The tub and shower showed clear evidence of age 🛁. Although clean upon inspection, visible rust around the drain detracted slightly from the otherwise maintained appearance. These cosmetic imperfections suggest deferred plumbing updates rather than neglect, yet they remain noticeable to observant guests. Water pressure was steady and hot water arrived promptly 🔥, which ultimately matters more than visual perfection. Towels were adequately stocked and fresh. In value-tier accommodations, maintenance consistency outweighs luxury aesthetics. While not spa-level by any measure, the bathroom remained fully serviceable and dependable for an overnight stay. With modest fixture upgrades and refinishing, this space could align more closely with the refreshed aesthetic seen in the lobby earlier in the visit.


Morning Rush and a Practical Farewell 🍳🧾

Breakfast concluded at 9:39 a.m., and arriving around 9:00 a.m., the dining area was noticeably crowded 🍳. Seating capacity appeared insufficient for peak hours, prompting me to dine at the in-room desk rather than wait for a table. Two egg options were offered — scrambled (slightly watery) and a small omelet, which was good and more flavorful. Apples and bananas were fresh 🍎🍌, hash browns somewhat dry but acceptable. The juice machine offered several options 🧃, though cups were notably small. Some guests neglected to clear their tables, creating minor congestion until staff began resetting the area closer to 9:30 a.m. Despite the morning rush, checkout was efficient and courteous 🧾. I would consider staying again if priced at or below $100 per night including taxes and fees — a fair valuation based on overall location, functionality, and service consistency 💰.
