Black/African-American Heritage Tour(sm)sm !

"My fellow RED Hat Sistas of Charlotte had a great time on the Black/African-American Heritage Tour(sm). All of us are transplants from other states, so all the information was new and very interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed the church visit. I personally had no idea that white slave owners allowed their slaves to worship with them in the same building. We plan to come back next year with more Red Hat Sistas. Thank you for all that you do and continue to keep society informed ."

What a great experience!

"This was a wonderful tour! I was truly surprised at the extensive knowledge that was shared with us about the Black history and culture of Charlotte. I brought a group of my students from UNC Charlotte for the tour. That is the first time I have ever seen them totally engaged on a tour from the beginning until the end. And, the presentation at the slave cemetery by Zaire and his mom brought everything full circle. It connected the past with today. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience."

Juan Whipple,

Just a note to say thank you for hosting such a
wonderful tour on Saturday.  Dorian and I had a great
time and learned a lot.  It was indeed a blessing to
have taken the time available to spend with pleasant
people on a purposeful journey.Hope all is well and again, thank you.
